I have arranged weddings worldwide and am giving some insight on  reception options. Last week I spoke of Venice and Florence, Italy. As Italy offers so many romantic and beautiful locations, this week, I will continue with two more popular destinations, Rome and the Amalfi Coast.  

ROME
Rome, as you can imagine, is a very popular wedding destination. The city has so much to offer; art, history, culture, sophistication and the warmth of the Romans, themselves. 

Depending on the size of your guest list, there are several options for a wedding reception (luncheon or dinner), such as:

• private salon at a deluxe, five star hotel in the heart of the city

• private palazzos, well appointed with and antiques and works of art, located in the heart of Rome.

• rooftop restaurant with a fantastic view of Rome, just a few steps from the Vatican

• private rooftop terrace located by the Spanish Steps, with wonderful view over the city 

• stunning private villas with extensive gardens, located just outside the city limits
  

AMALFI COAST:
The seaside towns of the Amalfi Coast are like a collections of small pearls on a necklace. Although most of our weddings take place in Amalfi, it is possible to get married in Positano, Ravello, Capri and other towns along the coast. The Positano town hall has a beautful terrace overlooking the sea, for outdoor ceremonies, weather permitting. Reception options on the Amalfi coast include:

• private terrace of a five star deluxe hotel, overlooking the sea

• cliffside restaurant with private salon and terrace with fantastic views of the coast.

• rooftop terrace/garden of beautiful villa in Positano. 

• gardens of Villa Cimbrone in Ravello

The above possibilities are by no means the only choices a bride has. I work closely with my brides to make whatever arrangement is requested.
